Fee For Service

The provided breakdown is for self-funded clients who pay cash. Invoiced rides to agencies may assume additional fees.


To get an accurate quote for service, please speak with our staff.


There is a maximum of 2 additional stops per ride, costing $2 each.


No additional stops may be added while on the ride if not pre-approved by the office.


Rides for appointments extending beyond 2 hours incur a double fare (less the admin fee).




Eligibility

Our services are provided to residents of York Region who cannot, because of their financial, physical or mental challenges, travel by conventional transit or taxi. Eligibility for our services will be assessed during an intake.

Requesting a Ride

As a client of our Transportation Program, you can request rides to destinations within 160km round trips for medical, shopping, financial, and activities of daily living. No rides are guaranteed as this is a volunteer service.

When booking a ride, you will need to provide all details including the date, time, exact address, suite number.

We offer curb-to-curb service; the driver cannot enter a home so riders must meet our drivers outside. If you need additional support, you must bring a companion with you. 

Transportation services are provided on a first-come, first-serve basis and must be booked by 4PM Wednesday the week before your ride, as we dispatch on Thursdays. Weekends and holidays do not count as business days.

We will attempt to accommodate last minute requests. Pick up times and fees will be confirmed the day before. Clients are responsible for any additional parking fees, if applicable.

Cancelling a Ride

As we are a service that many people rely on, we ask that you cancel your trip if you no longer require it. Giving us as much notice as possible will allow additional availability for other clients. It is important to contact the office by 4PM the business day prior to your ride. You will be invoiced for the full cost of any late cancellations if they are made after 4PM.

Fee Subsidy Assistance

We provide fee subsidy assistance to residents who are in financial need. To apply and determine eligibility or learn more please call our office or email info@routescc.org.
