Routes Connecting Communities is a York Region community based not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping people since 1989. We provide safe, affordable, compassionate, and timely transportation, food deliveries, connections and referrals to community programs and services, friendly phone calls, opportunities for social connection, and housing supports.

We improve access to basic needs, enhance community engagement and improve social connections. We help those who are experiencing social, physical, mental and financial limitations to using common transportation methods, and are there in times of need for members of our communities.

Our volunteers and community members are at the core of all things Routes.


In 2023, we were privileged to have 190 volunteers, providing safe and reliable transportation, deliveries, friendly calls, tech support, and meal preparation for the community.
