211 – A helpline that easily connects people to the social services, programs and community supports they need.

360 Kids – offers a variety of services and takes a comprehensive approach to assisting at-risk youth and surrounding them with care, recognizing that these kids need a wide range of supports to help them rebuild their lives.


Blue Door – emergency housing provider in York Region, Blue Door provides lifesaving support to children, youth, men, women, and families at risk of or experiencing homelessness


Canadian Centre for Men and Families – an open, inclusive and safe space dedicated to the health and well-being of boys, men, fathers and their families


Canadian Mental Health Association York Region South Simcoe - Offering more than 30 free mental health and addiction programs and services to adults, youth and family caregivers across York Region and South Simcoe.

CHATS – advocating for and delivering high-quality, person-centred home and community services to older adults and caregivers living in York Region and South Simcoe

Community Legal Clinic of York Region – free legal advice and representation to low-income residents of York Region. Our areas of expertise are residential tenancies, social assistance, loss of employment and immigration

Community Living York South – provides support services to children, youth, adults and seniors who have an intellectual disability and live in Southern York Region


Emergency and Transitional Housing (York Region) – If you or someone you know is experiencing homelessness or fleeing an abusive situation, an emergency housing facility can provide temporary housing and wraparound supports


Family Services York Region – counselling and community based cultural support services in York Region

Food Bank of York Region – dedicated to alleviating food insecurity and hunger in York Region. We serve as a nexus between the abundance of surplus food in Ontario and the non-profit organizations that provide food and meals in their programs, and food-insecure individuals serviced by our mobile food bank program


High Notes Avante – inspires, gives hope and connects those touched by mental illness through artistic expression

Home on the Hill Supportive Housing Inc – a family centered charity that provides supports such as recreation therapy to adults with serious mental illness and offers support and education to their families. We currently have 5 supportive housing beds.

Housing Help Centre – works with both individuals and families in York Region to find and maintain affordable, safe housing


John Howard Society of York Region – offers a variety of prevention, intervention, educational and service programs to individuals of all ages, regardless of involvement in the criminal justice system.


Krasman Centre – Peer Support-based organization offering a range of programs and support for people experiencing mental health, substance use, and/or housing challenges including a 7 days/week drop-by centre, 24/7 Warm Line, mobile outreach, harm reduction supplies and resources 


LOFT Community Services – provides support and hope to people facing complex mental and physical health challenges, addictions, dementia, and/or homelessness


Street Outreach Van (York Region/Loft Crosslinks) – provides mobile services and supplies for people who are street involved, homeless and at risk of being homeless at various locations throughout York Region


Women’s Centre of York Region – offers unique programming and services that address a range of circumstances, to women who are in need of positive change. Our goal is to fully support each woman on her personal journey of discovery, encouraging her to fully thrive.


YMCA Employment Services – providing much-needed employment programs to address some of the barriers in entering the labour market

York Regional Police

  • Project Lifesaver – combines radio technology with a co-ordinated police response to locate wandering and disoriented loved ones due to Alzheimer’s, autism or other conditions or disorders

  • Vulnerable Persons Registry – allows an improved police response to vulnerable people who may require emergency assistance due to their condition. It expedites the process of locating and assisting vulnerable residents or frequent visitors to York Region by making essential personal information readily available to responding officers.

York Region Food Network – a community organization that offers services and programs to support food security. We also educate and advocate for actions to reduce food insecurity

York Support Services Network – communicates, connects, and collaborates with people who live with serious mental illness and/or a developmental disability

Youth Assisting Youth – grows the leaders of tomorrow through peer mentorship of at-risk and newcomer youth
