Eligibility & Cost

Our services are provided to residents of York Region who cannot, because of their financial, physical or mental challenges, travel by conventional transit or taxi. Eligibility for our services will be assessed during an intake.

Delivery services are completely cost free! Routes aims to bridge the gap and ensure that all residents of York Region can access food & ensure food security wherever and whenever possible!

To be eligible for the food delivery program, you must obtain a referral from the Food Bank or Community Group/Church that offers the food. 

You must also complete an intake with Routes.

Please note that the times listed are when our drivers pickup the food. Drivers make multiple deliveries at once so it may take 1-2 hours to complete the run. Times are subject to change.

Aurora Food Pantry: Tuesdays 9:30am, Thursdays 1:00pm & Saturdays 9:30am
Newmarket Food Pantry: 2nd Wednesday of the month, 10:00am
Richmond Hill Food Bank: Wednesdays 10:00am & Fridays 10:00am
Whitchurch-Stouffville Food Bank: Wednesdays 10:00am
York Region Food Network - Good Food Box (Aurora): Wednesdays 12:00pm - 6:00pm
Ebenezer United Church - Good Food Box in partnership with YRFN (Markham): 12:30-2:00pm
Maple Hill Baptist Church - Helping Hands Food Pantry (Georgina): 1st & 3rd Saturday of month 11:00am

Keswick Presbyterian Church (Georgina) - Dinner: Thursdays 4:30pm
Trinity Anglican Church (Aurora) - Dinner: Wednesdays 5:30pm
York Region Food Network (Aurora) - Breakfast: Tuesdays 9:30am

Booking a Delivery

As a client of our Food Delivery Program, you can book deliveries from the desired food bank or community group/church. Please note that each organization providing food for these deliveries has their own policy on timing of delivery and minimum wait time between any two deliveries. Please inquire with that organization to determine the rules and regulations on how often you can get a delivery.

When booking a delivery, we will offer the soonest availability for the desired delivery type. These deliveries are often booked well in advanced so we cannot guarantee fast turn-around on last minute orders. 

Please know your availability when calling and be prepared to reference future dates and write down delivery appointments.
BOOK A DELIVERY

Cancelling a Delivery

As we are a service that many people rely on, we ask that you cancel your delivery if you no longer require it. This is especially important if your hamper will include perishable food items!

Giving us as much notice as possible will allow additional availability for other clients. It is important to contact the office no later than 12:00 p.m. the day before your scheduled delivery by phone. You must speak to a staff member to cancel or reschedule a delivery.
